Meet Our Team
Dr. James Yun
Medical Director
James Yun, MD, is a board-eligible otolaryngologist–head and neck surgeon with fellowship-level training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. With more than 20 years of clinical and surgical experience focused on the face, head, and neck, he possesses an unparalleled understanding of facial anatomy, balance, and natural rejuvenation.
Proudly half-Korean, Dr. Yun co-founded MeiRai Medical Aesthetics with his wife, Nikki, and together they chose the name “MeiRai” (美來) to honor his heritage and their shared vision: “Mei” (美) meaning “beauty” and “Rai” (來) meaning “to come” or “future.” MeiRai embodies the heart of everything they do, revealing your future beauty by unveiling the most radiant, youthful, and authentic version of you that is yet to come.

Payton Paulson
Registered Nurse
Payton received her nursing education from Umpqua Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University this summer. Besides working at MeiRai, she also serves Douglas County at Mercy Medical Center’s Progressive Care Unit. Payton’s favorite aspect of nursing is that it encompasses a variety of skills in the medical and aesthetic fields. When not working, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. We’re excited to have Payton at MeiRai and the fun, outgoing personality she brings to the team!
Toni
Nurse
Toni is a dedicated registered nurse who earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Umpqua Community College in 2008. Following a brief role at Mercy Medical Center, she advanced to a nurse manager position at a local family physician’s office, where she contributed her expertise for six years.
In 2014, Toni joined ENT Associates of Roseburg, managing the allergy clinic under Dr. Yun. She continues to thrive in this role, passionately helping patients achieve lasting relief from allergy symptoms.
Toni was introduced to the transformative world of aesthetic medicine in 2025 and has proudly joined the MeiRai Medical Aesthetics team, where she is committed to ongoing training and mastering innovative treatments.
Her current specialties include laser hair and tattoo removal, Exion RF Microneedling, personalized weight loss consultations, and revitalizing vitamin IV infusions. Toni is also fully trained in advanced non-invasive body sculpting and rejuvenation technologies, including the Exion body, Emsculpt, and Emsella systems.
Toni looks forward to expanding her knowledge in aesthetic nursing and skincare and will be training as an aesthetic nurse injector. Above all, she is devoted to empowering patients to feel their most confident, radiant selves—unveiling the vibrant, authentic beauty that reflects how they feel inside.
Alyssa
Medical Aesthetician & Medical Assistant
Alyssa is a licensed esthetician whose deep passion for skin health was born from her own years-long battle with acne. Having walked that challenging path herself, she is wholeheartedly dedicated to helping her clients achieve clear, confident skin through compassionate, results-driven care. She graduated from the Advanced Esthetics Institute in summer 2025 and brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and genuine empathy to every appointment.
Complementing her advanced aesthetics training, Alyssa holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oregon State University (2024). Her experience as Dr. Yun’s medical assistant further strengthened her clinical foundation, giving her an exceptional understanding of skin from both medical and aesthetic perspectives.
Alyssa is certified in HydraFacial, DermaPlane Pro, ZO Skin Health, and Noon Aesthetics, and she specializes in corrective skincare and thoughtful, long-term treatment planning. Above all, she is committed to creating a supportive, uplifting experience that leaves her clients feeling truly seen, cared for, and radiant in their own skin.
Sarah
Advanced Aesthetician
MeiRai Medical Aesthetics warmly welcomes Sarah, our dedicated Advanced Aesthetician, whose expertise and heartfelt approach perfectly embody our commitment to revealing each client’s future beauty.
With certification as an Advanced Aesthetician and a genuine passion for empowering people to feel at ease and radiant in their skin, Sarah brings extensive experience to every treatment. She specializes in advanced clinical procedures—including chemical peels, microneedling, resurfacing, body contouring, and laser hair reduction—while providing tailored education on medical-grade home care to support lasting results.
Sarah’s philosophy is grounded in authentic connection: she listens with care, designs personalized treatment plans with precision and intention, and joyfully celebrates every milestone of progress with her patients. She sees skincare as a meaningful expression of self-care and creates a nurturing environment where each individual feels truly seen, supported, and valued.
Outside of the clinic, Sarah enjoys exploring the stunning Pacific Northwest—traveling its breathtaking landscapes, hiking scenic trails, rock hounding, and cherishing moments with her three lively boys.
